Is your home office a “catch-all”?
If so, you are not alone. Many people don’t dedicate the same time and effort in planning their office space as they do the other rooms in their home. The result: a cluttered area that becomes a place of avoidance and stress instead of a place of productivity and creativity. Here are some interior design home office tips, just for you.
Three Questions to Ask
In order to create a workspace at home that is tailored to suit your needs, ask yourself these three questions, “Is it functional, is it attractive and is it productive?”
When determining functionality, make sure you allow for space to spread out papers, store equipment and access tools. Achieving attractiveness in your workspace is three-fold. The first step is to set up your space in an organized fashion so you can easily access everything you need. Secondly, decorate your space to reflect your personality as well as your company’s image- that keeps you consistently in tune with the standard you’ve set for your business. Lastly, but not least important, is productivity. Don’t skimp on lighting, color or ergonomics. Too often these things are overlooked and your work can be negatively impacted.
