Accent chairs provide not just extra seating, but are a great way to add a new silhouette, style reference, or color to any room.  I’ve gathered a few of my favorite styles and creative approaches to seating.

The Club Chair is an upholstered, roomy armchair with extra-deep seats, perfect for curling up with a book.   Club chairs are frequently spotted in pairs making up a cozy nook or as the ideal companion alongside a living room sofa.  Accent chairs with interesting fabrics and detailing can infuse style into any room.

The Slipper Chair is an armless, upholstered accent chair with a petite silhouette and a lower seat height. For this reason, the Slipper chair can also be a more comfortable choice for anyone who’s petite. Where space is limited, a slipper is a great option to easily tuck into tighter areas.

The Occasional Chair runs the gamut in terms of shape and style, but the one common denominator is that they’re lightweight and easy to move when the need, or “occasion,” for more seating arises.  This accent chair can be spotted anywhere and everywhere, which is the beauty of the occasional chair.  With or without arms, it’s most likely to have an especially eye-catching or shapely design.  Because occasional chairs need to function anywhere in the home, they typically bring the entire design “moment” with them anywhere they go.  The addition of metals and acrylic increase the element of fun and style.

The Wingback Chair is an easy-to-spot accent chair, thanks to its signature winged sides and typically tall back. The generous size of a wingback makes it an ideal counterpart to a large sofa, since it an give the room a sense of balance in scale.  Perched next to a fireplace, protecting the inhabitant from drafts and the heat from a roaring fire was the original purpose of the chair’s side wings.  A favorite use is as host and hostess chairs at the head and foot of a dining table.

A modern take on a Recliner is a great way to mistake style for comfort.  This recliner is covered in a fantastic mid-century inspired patterned fabric and boasts of an ebony wood finish which elevates a classic piece to a whole new level.  The sleekness of this retro recliner creates a strong placeholder in any home.

I am excited to get new furniture in our dwelling room. Thank you for this information approximately the way to select the accent chair. I like what become stated about measuring every piece of furnishings and the premises of the room earlier than making the purchases. Another factor that I am trying to discover is a club chair that is at ease and could offer happiness. You are so creative.
